Food is good (not amazing). You're really paying for the experience. I've been there several times and always have a nice dinner. It's perfect for special occasions. I don't recommend wearing stilettos - they get caught in the stones where the valet is.
Everything we ordered was wonderful-especially the amazing desserts. Delicious mini muffins were served in place of bread with jelly. When I asked the location of the bathroom, a staff member actually walked me to it. The tours of the estate must be reserved in advance.
I recently took my wife on a date to OHK Bar and Restaurant, and it was an amazing experience. The atmosphere is simply incredible, with a European ambiance and an American castle feel. We reserved seating online and were given a beautiful table overlooking the garden, which I imagine would be even more stunning in the summer with outdoor seating. The service was top-notch, and it was such an honor to meet the owner, Mr. Gary Melius, who took the time to introduce himself and chat with us at our table. He is a truly humble person. Now, let's talk about the food. We started with the charred octopus, which was really good, and the soup of the day, which was the creamiest soup I've ever had. As it was a cold evening, the chef served us a complimentary broth that was perfectly salted and tasted amazing, a sign of good quality in-house broth. For drinks, we ordered a glass of red and white wine, both of which were amazing. For mains, we had the Short Rib Pappardelle, which was exceptional. The Braised Beef Short Rib paired with the Pappardelle Pasta and Ricotta was a delightful combination. Overall, it was an amazing experience with good quality food and excellent service. The price was justified for the experience and quality of the food. I highly recommend OHK Bar and Restaurant for a memorable dining experience.
Delicious food with amazing view. Food is great, I had Shrimp Scampi, coffee and desert. Pasta was great, good price and nice portion. Coffee was also good. Desert was a little weird, I took “berries and cream” and it’s basically fresh berries inside chocolate bowl with whipped cream on top. I like it, but it’s not for everyone, so be aware. My friend had “apple tart” and it was delicious. Prices are absolutely fine for NY and especially for such beautiful establishment. And after your meal you can go outside and enjoy magnificent landscape.
The food and the service were excellent. We attended Easter brunch and the Easter Egg Hunt which was really nice and very family friendly. The garden area is stunning. The brunch was prix fixe with good options for each course and decent portions. They offered a good mix of both traditional breakfast and lunch items. The crab cake was top tier. I also tried the chicken cordon bleu served with mashed potatoes which was good. The options for the kids were also decent - from french toast, chicken tenders to cheese burgers.
Amazing food. Be mindful they serve smaller portions than NYC but still filling. Great and kind customer service. It makes you feel like you are in Europe. This restaurant is part of the Oheka Castke venue for events and weddings. It looks like a fairytale indeed. Their vegetarian food is delicious and the Tuscan bread as a starter with a cheese sauce was so good! The burrata salad was amazing. The vegetable ravioli was ok. Their dessert (peanut butter sundae) had Reese’s pieces - yummy
This place is a hidden gem I stumbled upon during the winter. I definitely plan to return in the summer. I can imagine how amazing it will be when the sun is out and the patio area of the restaurant is open. The food was quite good, and the service was solid. The overall ambience is fantastic. You can explore both the exterior and interior of the castle, which adds to the experience. It’s a wonderful find, and I highly recommend it.
This is the first time I have been to Oheka Castle. We went for an investor meetup and had a couple of drinks and some food. The menu is interesting and had some nice upscale choices. The service was good, and the grounds and much of the building are very pretty. The outside courtyard atmosphere is very nice. The food was tasty, and the presentation was pretty good This place is quite expensive though... The Charlie Chaplin room is very cool
